Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, share, and protect personal data on intervista.io.

Effective date: 18 July 2026

1.Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how intervista.io (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website, applications, organization dashboard, and interview rooms (the “Service”).

For privacy requests, contact support@intervista.io. Additional contact options are listed on our Contact page.

2.Scope

This Policy applies to visitors, organization administrators, interviewers, candidates, and other users of the Service. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control, even if linked from the Service.

When an organization uses intervista.io to conduct interviews, that organization typically decides what candidate and hiring data to upload and how to use interview outcomes. In those cases, the organization is generally the data fiduciary (or equivalent) for that Candidate Content, and we process it to provide the Service on the organization’s instructions.

3.Data we collect

Account and profile data: name, email address, organization affiliation, role (for example org admin, interviewer, or candidate), and authentication-related information.

Organization and onboarding data: company name, size, work email domain, LinkedIn or similar URLs you provide, preferred plan, and messages submitted with access requests.

Billing data: plan selection, billing interval, subscription or order identifiers, payment status, and payment-processor customer, order, payment, and subscription IDs. We do not store full card numbers; payment credentials are handled by the payment processor.

Interview and hiring workflow data: interview titles and descriptions, schedules and timezones, participant lists, passcodes, rubric dimensions and scores, notes, job description text or files, resume or CV uploads where provided, collaborative code and related snapshots, chat messages, and AI assistance turns or prompts where those features are enabled.

Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, security and integrity signals, cookies or similar session tokens, and server logs.

Audio and video: live interview audio and video are transmitted via our real-time communications provider to enable the session. We do not offer persistent recording storage as a default product feature; any temporary processing needed to deliver live media is handled to operate the call.

4.How we use data

We use personal data to: provide and operate the Service; authenticate users and secure accounts; schedule and run interviews; enable collaboration, scoring, and optional AI features; process payments and enforce plan entitlements; send transactional emails (invites, passcodes, password flows, billing notices); provide support; monitor abuse and reliability; improve the Service; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data.

6.How we share data

We share personal data with service providers that help us operate the Service, which may include hosting and infrastructure providers, email delivery providers, real-time audio/video providers, AI model providers used for optional AI features, and payment processors.

We may share data with professional advisors, or with authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Within an organization workspace, authorized users (such as org admins and interviewers) may see interview and participant information according to product permissions.

7.International transfers

Although we primarily serve customers in India, our subprocessors may process data in other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we take steps consistent with applicable law and available contractual or technical safeguards offered by those providers.

8.Retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain accounts, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements.

Interview artifacts (such as scores, code snapshots, and uploaded documents) are retained while the organization account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, or until deleted through available product controls or a verified deletion request, subject to backup and legal hold limitations.

Payment records may be retained longer as required for financial compliance.

9.Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption in transit for Service traffic, and least-privilege practices for operational access.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for using strong credentials, protecting invite links and passcodes, and configuring your organization’s users appropriately.

10.Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, updating, or erasure of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

To exercise rights, email support@intervista.io. We may need to verify your identity. If your data was submitted by an organization (for example as a candidate), we may redirect your request to that organization or coordinate with them, as they often control the relevant records.

Organization administrators can manage many member and interview records directly in the product.

11.Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12.Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, and basic Service operation. We do not operate the Service as an advertising network and do not claim to use personal data for cross-site advertising.

You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent login or core features from working.

Where we use third-party protections such as Google reCAPTCHA on forms, Google may collect device and usage data under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.

13.Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. For material changes, we will provide notice via the Service, email, or other reasonable means where practical.
