Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the intervista.io website, applications, and related services (the “Service”) operated by intervista.io (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, requesting organization access, or joining an interview room, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

intervista.io provides tools for collaborative coding interviews and related hiring workflows. Features may include organization administration, interview scheduling, collaborative code editing, in-room video and chat, scoring rubrics, optional AI assistance, and plan-based entitlements.

Current plan tiers include Starter (free forever, with usage limits), Growth (paid, with higher limits and AI features), and Enterprise (marketed as coming soon and not purchasable unless we expressly enable it).

We may modify, add, or remove features, including beta or experimental capabilities, at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Access may require an account. Roles may include platform administrators, organization administrators, interviewers, and candidates. Candidates and other participants may join via invite links, passcodes, or similar credentials issued by an organization.

You are responsible for safeguarding credentials associated with your account and for activity under your account. Organization administrators are responsible for managing members, invitations, and permissions within their organization.

You must provide accurate information and promptly update it. We may suspend or refuse accounts that appear fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.

As between you and intervista.io, your organization retains ownership of Customer Content you submit to the Service, including job descriptions, resumes or CVs, interview titles and schedules, rubric scores and notes, code written in interview rooms, and related materials, subject to the licenses below.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights and lawful bases required to upload, process, and share candidate and interviewer personal data through the Service, including obtaining any consents required under applicable law.

You are responsible for how your organization uses interview outcomes in hiring decisions. The Service is a facilitation tool and does not constitute legal, employment, or compliance advice.

You will not, and will not permit others to: (a) use the Service for unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, or fraudulent purposes; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data; (c) reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service except as allowed by mandatory law; (d) introduce malware or interfere with real-time communications, collaborative editing, or other users’ sessions; (e) record, redistribute, or publicly disclose interview sessions or candidate materials without appropriate authority and consent; or (f) circumvent plan limits, billing, or security controls.

We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

Certain features use artificial intelligence to suggest questions, generate rubrics from job descriptions, assist chat, or provide related prompts. AI features are optional and may be limited by your plan or disabled for a given interview.

AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or biased. You must review outputs before relying on them. AI features do not replace human judgment in hiring and are not legal advice.

Prompts and related content you send to AI features may be processed by third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

Starter is offered free of charge subject to monthly interview quotas and other published limits (including duration, participant caps, and locked AI features). Growth and other paid plans are billed in Indian Rupees (INR) as shown at checkout.

Growth may be purchased as a one-month prepaid period or as a monthly subscription, processed through our payment provider. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the selected method for applicable fees and taxes.

Unless required by applicable law, fees are non-refundable once paid, including unused interview quota. Subscriptions renew until cancelled according to the cancellation controls we provide or via support. Failure to pay may result in downgrade to Starter or suspension of paid features when a paid period ends.

Plan entitlements (including interview quotas counted by interviews created in the current UTC calendar month, excluding cancelled interviews) are enforced in the product. Exceeding limits may block scheduling or other actions until you upgrade or wait for quota reset.

The Service depends on third-party infrastructure and processors, which may include hosting providers, email delivery, real-time audio/video providers, AI model providers, and payment processors. Your use of those services through intervista.io is also subject to their applicable terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or acts outside our reasonable control, except to the extent we cannot disclaim liability under mandatory law.

We and our licensors own the Service, including software, branding, documentation, and design. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service to you.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Content solely as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Service, and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.

Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

Each party will use reasonable care to protect the other party’s non-public information disclosed in connection with the Service and will not disclose it to third parties except to personnel and processors who need it and are bound by confidentiality obligations, or as required by law.

Interview content and candidate materials should be treated as confidential by your organization and participants. You are responsible for instructing your users accordingly.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that interviews will be free of interruption, that AI outputs will be accurate, or that the Service will meet your hiring or compliance requirements.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERVISTA.IO AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD, OR (B) INR 5,000 IF YOU USED ONLY FREE TIERS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

You will defend and indemnify intervista.io against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your Customer Content; (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or law; (c) disputes with candidates, interviewers, or other third parties related to your hiring process; or (d) unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect credentials.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Organization administrators may request account closure by contacting support.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately for material breach, non-payment, suspected abuse, legal risk, or to protect the Service or other users. We may also discontinue the Service with reasonable notice where practical.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We may retain or delete data as described in our Privacy Policy. Where reasonably feasible, we may provide a limited window for organization administrators to export available Customer Content upon written request.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. For material changes, we will provide notice via the Service, email, or other reasonable means where practical. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived, courts in India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
